connect a domain I already own to wordpress

    Dear Helper!

    I am new to WordPress, I am trying ot add an existing domain (vectorstellar.com) via the followinf path: Upgrades/Domain/Use a domain I own. After adding the vectorstellar.com domain I have two options: Transfer or connect the domain. I both cases I have to pay the same annual fee but the second option should be free of charge. Could you please help if both options should be charged? If yes then please help, I already have a yearly hosing subscription with another provider, what do I gain with this additional subscription (I already have SSL certificate).

    Perhaps you need to reach out to them if you want to use the wordpress software at a site there?
    What exactly are you trying to achieve? https://vectorstellar.wordpress.com/ is a seperate site here at WordPress.com which is a different host to wherever you are now. If you want to move here and connect your domain to the WordPress.com site then a paid plan is required.
