  I just bought the domain syrene.blog through this site. But its not connected to my blog. How can I connect it?

  It’s working fine for me. It redirects to https://syrene7.wordpress.com/ which is expected behaviour. If you wanted the shorter address to display in a browser heading then you should have upgraded your free site to an annual paid plan. Then you could have registered your new domain for free for the first year.
