Connect domain issue

  Hi,
  I am on a wordpress free plan and I am trying to connect my domain that I own (bought on Godaddy). As I said, I am on a wordpress free plan but when I try to connect my domain it says that I have to pay $96 to connect my domain. Why isn’t it free? My friend did the exact smae thing and she didn’t have to pay anything when connecting her domain. Thanks for your help

  Hi there! A domain connection is included with paid plans – you could absolutely use the Personal plan to connect the domain:

  Without seeing your friend’s site it’s not clear what domain setup she may have (e.g. whether it redirects to a free .wordpress.com address, or something else).
