connect Jetpack to my existing wordpress site?

  How do I connect my existing wordpress site (on a separate server) with wordpress.com site so I can use Jetpack?

  When I try to add a website to my profile, I am asked to ‘Give your blog an address

  Enter your blog’s name or some keywords that describe it to get started.’

  The steps don’t allow me to add my website. I don’t want to set up a blog using wordpress.com.

  Hi there,

  Log into WP-Admin on your website, and go to Plugins ->Add New. Search for Jetpack and install it.

  Once Jetpack is installed, click on it in the WP-Admin menu, and follow the steps on the page to connect the site to your WordPress.com account.

  Hey – I’d already had Jetpack plugin installed. But then I deactivated it, and then activated it. That did the trick!
