connect posts to pages and categories

Hi
Verym very new to all of this and happy with progress so far, but have a couple of questions which are stumping me:
Currently using “origin” theme1. Managed a reasonable post but no picture with post on front page, how do I fix? Just the top one of the finished dish would be fine.
2. How do I link the front page post to my recipe headings (pages) at the top of the page?
3. How do I get a montage of recipe pictures on each recipe page that people can click on for the complete recipe? Pinchofyum.com does what I want I know I am on just a basic design so the above may not be possible, but any ideas you may have would be gratefully received.
If the answers are common and to be found in the forums – I apologise in advance and will try and get to grips with that as well!

Question 1: Set a featured image for each post. Here are instructions

Question 3: This was discussed in another post a while back. Here is the link
https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/thumbnails-of-media-library-pictures-into-pages?replies=6#post-246245You could also just build a table and add thumbnails for each recipe image. Link each thumbnail to its corresponding post and you’ve got the same idea.

I’m not really sure what you mean on question 2. Not sure what you’re wanting to link to what. Can you clarify that for me?

Hi
thanks for the replies. My posts come up on the front page (without a picture, which does appear in the post). I am going to post different recipes and wanted those to also appear / link in the various types of recipe.
At the top of the front page I have set up different categories as pages and wanted each post to also appear in these
ie. Coq au vin should also appear under “easy chicken recipes” and also under the categories headings in the right hand column (which I think I have sorted)
Is all this possible or am I going about everything the wrong way round?thanks in advance
