Connect problems, error messages and image upload issues.

  I have 2 FREE blogs – had them for years but the past week I have had several problems.

  The first is it takes an age to log on the I get the message “webpage not available”.

  Once logged in I cannot always access my dashboard, if I do then I cannot edit posts I get the webpage not available message again.

  On the occasions I get into the dashboard and start adding a post I then have problems with adding media and get the message “Connection lost. Saving has been disabled until you’re reconnected. We’re backing up this post in your browser, just in case”

  I am using Google Chrome, I have cleared the browser (several times). I have JavaScript enabled and the latest version of Adobe.

  I have read other bloggers problems but as I use a free blog and don´t have plug in or files to change the code I am at a loss as to what is happening. Can someone please help. Thanks

  Are you in the UK or Spain? Both countries have ISPs that are blocking all or part of WordPress.com.

  I am in the Canary Islands so I guess that comes under Spain.

  You can use this link to check on the WordPress servers:

  It includes a link titled:
  http://downforeveryoneorjustme.com/wordpress.com

  Where you can see right away if everyone is having trouble with the website.

  Just done that, took an age but when I clicked on is it just me….. It seems that it is?

  So any ideas as to how I can resolve the problem?

  If I were you I’d contact your ISP.

  Thank you raincoaster, that could be the problem in my case. We can also only receive TV via internet and last night everything shut down with unable to stream message!!

  However the thing that made me think it was a WordPress problem was seeing others having problems and all other sites I visit seem OK. Guess it is just a case of wait and see. :-(
