connect to another facebook page

    My posts are not sharing to facebook. I’ve recently read this might be because it’s a facebook business page etc (it’s my author page) rather than my general profile. However, I can’t get it to find my general profile. Whenever I ask connections to connect to a facebook page only the writer page comes up. help

    Hi there!

    Facebook only allows sharing to Pages, not personal profiles. This isn’t something we can circumvent, so if you need to share your posts to your personal Facebook profile, you would need to do so manually.

    I’ve already set it to share to my author PAGE but it’s not happening. I read on WP that it’s because FB won’t let it.
    What else can I try to get it to share?
    This is the page I am trying to share to.

    Thanks Sue. I’m looking at suecookwrites.wordpress.com and can see that the connection to Facebook was turned off about 6 hours ago. The Twitter connection is still enabled – are you posts working with Twitter?

    We can do deeper investigation of individual posts if they don’t populate as expected, but first we need that Facebook connection to get reestablished.

    Please reconnect Facebook as a first step. Next, make a quick “test” post and publish it. Let’s see if it goes through to Facebook. If it does not, come back here and let us know, we can do further debugging on that “test” post at that point to see what the problem might be.

    One other note is that the last published post is from 8 months ago. Please remember that Private Posts aren’t going to share through the Publicize tool and on to the connected social media platforms.

    Sigh. I turned if off earlier today when I was trying to get it to post to FB – none of my posts have made it there for many months. I’ve just turned it back on and hey presto, it posted.
    I HATE technology.
