Hello @roseburkeauthor
Sometimes it happens due to a browser issue,
So try this:
1. Clear your browsers cache and cookies
2. Login again and follow the steps given here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/publicize/#facebook-profiles-pages to connect wordpress.com to facebook and see if it gets resolved.Let us know… thanks! 🙂

Thanks. That worked and my facebook account came up for me to login for the connection. But I was not home free.
I keep getting message “cookies must be enable” I have checked 3x. It is set to “do not block cookies”
I use Windows 10 and Microsoft Edge browser with Microsoft Defender security. I checked the firewall but could not add WordPress or my account name.
Have read that Windows 10 discontinued Facebook Connect. Could that be the problem? Thanks for any help you can give me. -

I don’t think that’s the problem.
Since you are using Edge, please make sure that you follow the steps to resolve the “cookies must be enabled” message: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/onedrive/forum/odstart-odsignin/onedrive-error-cookies-must-be-allowed-on-windows/5402a089-7c3a-4728-aae6-6ec416aaa2cb
(Although the question is related to OneDrive, it should work for WordPress-Facebook publicize too).If you are using chrome, read this:
