  i should like to connect my domain to wordpress and use a theme I have already purchased to create my website. when I click on create website, select the domain I own, select connect your domain, it is offering only to choose a paid plan. how come? when i last used and made purchase of a theme i understood that no further charges be applied unless i wanted an upgrade. please clarify. perhaps there is a bug or something?

  It is required that you purchase any paid WordPress.com plan for the existing domain connection to WordPress.
