Hello there,
Do you remember which applications were connected to your profile?
Normally, the steps to connect applications are the following:
- On the website or application that you want to connect to, find a button or link asking you to connect to WordPress.com.
- Click on the Connect link, which will bring you to WordPress.com. You will be asked to login. You can verify you are are on WordPress.com and secure by checking that the URL starts with https://public-api.wordpress.com.
- Once you’re logged in, approve the application by clicking “Authorize.” If you have multiple blogs you can select which blog you would like to grant access to.
- You’re now connected!
In case you don’t remember the applications connected to your account, here are the ones that usually you may want to connect. Just follow the steps listed above once you’re inside their websites. The WordPress sign in button is always place at the top right of the page.
I hope this is all clear! If you get stuck at any step, just let me know and I’ll be glad to help. Cheers :)

The website connected to the WordPress icon/application is https://wordpress.com/.
I disconnected my WordPress application as well and I’m not able to reconnect it too. I managed, though, to get the desktop application here: https://desktop.wordpress.com/.
I’m not sure if it’s something that can be useful to you. In any case even by disconnecting the WordPress.com app as you did, I had no problems at all at logging in.

I don’t think the two things are related.
What kind of problems are you experiencing while uploading photos?
You can check if your storage space is full by looking at the top of the Media Library page on Dashboard>Media>Library.
Thanks!
