    HI I accidentally connected my website to WordPress, can you assist in disconnecting it.

    Correct account: Yes

    The site URL is phonicdreams.co.za

    I have no idea what I was doing. Domain is hosted by GoDaddy

    So would like when I go to phonicdreams.co.za not to be directed to phonicdreams.wordpress.com

    Would like to go straight to phonicdreams.co.za

    Hi there,

    Your domain isn’t pointed to us via either name servers or IP address, and that domain has never been connected to us via a domain connection upgrade.

    I can disconnect the Jetpack plugin for you, which will likely stop the domain trying to go to a WordPress.com site that doesn’t exist, but from what I can see it will then just go to a generic browser error page instead:

    Currently your domain is registered with GoDaddy, and using their name servers, but the IP addresses for your domain is pointing it to Amazon Web Services (AWS). If I run a traceroute on your domain, that also stops with Amazon’s IP addresses.

    If I try to do a redirect trace on your domain, I get a 403 error, indicating it’s not allowed to access the server at the IP address it’s trying to connect to.

    With which provider are you hosting your site, i.e. where did you install the WordPress software?

    If you have WordPress installed on a hosting plan with GoDaddy, the problem is that your domain is not currently actually pointed to GoDaddy, but to Amazon. In that case you’ll need to contact GoDaddy support for help fixing this.

    If you instead installed WordPress on a hosting plan at AWS, something isn’t set up properly on that end, so in that case you need to contact them instead.
