Connecting a Domain

    Hi there,
    I have tried connecting a domain which I own through IONOS and followed the relevant steps until the Connect my Domain cart option is displayed. I am unable to remove the Annual Plan that WordPress.com offers and only proceed with the free domain that I currently own. I do not want to transfer ownership WordPress nor do I want the annual plan I just want the actual domain I own to be connected. Please help immediately.

    Many thanks for reaching out.

    It’s possible to connect the domain as per these steps: https://wordpress.com/support/domains/connect-existing-domain/, but in order to set a custom primary domain, there would need to be a paid plan in place.
