Connecting a Domain I Own

    I own a domain from another provider. I want to connect it to my above site. Can I do that for free with Personal Plan of WordPress?

    Everytime I try to do this, the menu automatically selects Premium Plan. But your support says that I can connect your domain for free with any WordPress.com paid plan. So I can use Personal Plan of WordPress, right?

    Also I will need SSL certificate for site after adding the domain. Would I get that for free? Can I install SSL Cert like LetsEncrypt? Or would I get that free with Paid Personal Plan?

    Have you tried upgrading your free site to a Personal plan and only then connecting your domain to it? SSL and a padlock is included for all sites here, free or upgraded.

    Can you tell us what page you’re starting on to make that purchase so we can sort out why it’s doing that?
