Connecting a existing website to WP

  Hello. I was asked if I could take over a website that is .lv . Just went in WP and it showed me that you have a Connection, with yearly plan I can connect the website to WordPress.com, but how does it work, and will i be able to make any changes to the website since i dont know where it was made before that?

  You can connect a custom domain to a new site here at WordPress.com with a yearly paid plan, yes. But you do need to own and have access to the backend of the domain and access to the original site to transfer the existing content to a site here.
