    I believe you are asking how to map from a .wordpress.com site to a domain that you already own.

    How domain mapping works

    Registering an underlying .wordpress.com URL first is required for domain mapping. That underlying URL does not have to match the domain URL when you are domain mapping.

    What domain mapping does is providing a seamless redirect to the very same content under the new domain URL when a person clicks the old URL .wordpress.com to the original content.     As @timethief mentioned, we offer several paid plans. Each one includes a domain credit which can be used for domain mapping — you can choose from the Personal, Premium or Business plans. Add the plan to your cart first, then choose the mapping option for your domain.
