connecting blog entry to facebook but not personal profile

Hi — I tried to connect my blog to Facebook but I didn’t see an option for connecting to my “community” page rather than my personal profile. I also don’t want to import the whole blog entry…I just want to link to it, as it would if I clicked the facebook share button (without having to do that). Is it possible and can someone tell me how?

It doesn’t import the entire post, only an extract & image, if there’s one available.

If by “community” page, you mean a group, I do not think that is possible using this method.

before i set up my blog, can i please check, will i be able to link it to my Facebook PAGE – not personal profile? I hope to have an automatic tweet and Facebook notification sent out whenever i publish a blog entry, and a link attached / preview on my wall…..

I meant not my personal page but a public page (not a group)…but I think you still might be right…I don’t think I’m able to connect it to anything but my personal page …boo hoo… blogger seems to allow it. :(

@whilewalkingthedog No, the Facebook Connect connects with your log-in and so it connects with whatever profile & pages you administer, not to ones you belong to.
You can push your posts to Twitter when you publish.

You should be able to select that page when you set it up according to the directions here: http://en.blog.wordpress.com/2011/08/08/now-publicize-to-facebook-pages/
It has to be your page, not the page someone else administers. So it sounds as though that’s what you want to do.

@whilewalkingthedog You can have your blog posts go to your FB fan-page. I can’t find the link for it, but Timethief posted it for RSS Graffiti and that is what I used. It is a Facebook App so search for RSS Graffiti in FB. That is the one that I use and my posts go to my fan page. I still use the regular WP one and that goes to my regular page for family & friends.

@ whilewalkingthedog… the last link that mmadfan posted has the instructions to link to a page that is not your personal profile. I tried it and it worked.Do I mark this as resolved now or do I wait until whilewalkingthedog says it is resolved?

You can mark it resolved. The thread can still be added to, but it shows that the OP (that’s you — original poster) has resolved their issue.
