  Hello, I have purchased a domain with 1&1 internet and want to use it for prescillathoughts.wordpress.com please help

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi prescillathoughts,

  There are two options for using an existing domain on prescillathoughts.wordpress.com:

  1. Use domain mapping

  https://en.support.wordpress.com/map-existing-domain/

  The domain will remain registered with 1&1 but mapping will create a connection to WordPress.com. The domain will need to renewed through 1&1 each year.

  2. Transfer the domain to WordPress.com

  https://en.support.wordpress.com/incoming-domain-transfer/

  With this option, the site and domain can be managed and renewed through one account (WordPress.com).

  You can map your domain here at WordPress.com, refer below link
  https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/

  If you wish to move your domain and transfer here at WordPress.com then refer below link
  https://en.support.wordpress.com/incoming-domain-transfer/

  In both cases you need have upgraded WordPress.com plan.
