  Connecting domain with wordpress but not transferring. Is that possible ?

  Yes, it is possible to connect your domain with your website on WordPress.com

  If you prefer to keep your domain and site at different providers, you have the option to “map” your existing domain to your site. You will need an upgraded WordPress.com plan on your site in order to map a domain.
