Connecting email to domain; and posting on static page – how do I get it there?
-
Hi, I have two questions … RE: prairiewindsongfarm.com
(1) I have the info I need from my domain host, to be able to now connect my email to my wordpress blog and ensure it works. Where do I go? Where do I do that from?
(2) I have an upgraded blog, and have the blog redirected to my domain. I have created two static pages, one as home, one as the page where I will put posts. I can’t figure out how to get the posts to get on that particular page. Can you tell me? (The blog site is at http://www.prairiewindsongfarm.com )
(3) OH and also I can’t figure out how to get categories onto that page (that I want the posts to go on) and post into those categories … I’ve created categories … but they don’t show up, even though I thought I put them in the right place.I also thought I connected the blog to the domain so it would show up without wordpress in the title, but I can’t tell if that worked or not as the blog url below has it included.
Thanks,
ElaineThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi Elaine,
I have the info I need from my domain host, to be able to now connect my email to my wordpress blog and ensure it works.
Do you host your email with your registrar and have MX records to enter in your DNS here? If so, please enter them here:
https://prairiewindsongfarm.wordpress.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php?page=domains&action=dnsedit&domain=prairiewindsongfarm.comIf you have any trouble, let me know what records you’re trying to enter, and I’ll be happy to help you out.
I can’t figure out how to get the posts to get on that particular page.
All your posts will automatically appear on your News on the farm page, which you’ve selected as your posts page here:
https://prairiewindsongfarm.wordpress.com/wp-admin/options-reading.phpand also I can’t figure out how to get categories onto that page (that I want the posts to go on) and post into those categories … I’ve created categories … but they don’t show up, even though I thought I put them in the right place.
Do you want to have different category pages and have the posts in those categories show up on those different pages? If so, we have a guide for how to set this up here:
Category PagesCan you please try to follow those steps, and if you get stuck, let me know which step is tripping you up and I’ll be happy to help. :)
I also thought I connected the blog to the domain so it would show up without wordpress in the title
You did – this is correct, but the original URL will still show in the support form and in your Dashboard.
