Hey there,
Happy to help you with this.
The domain can be connected as per these steps here: https://wordpress.com/support/domains/connect-existing-domain/
At GoDaddy’s side of things you would need to follow these steps here: https://www.godaddy.com/help/change-nameservers-for-my-domains-664
To note, in order to set a custom primary domain, the site would need to have a paid plan, at a minimum the personal plan.
What is the site you’re going to build going to be about, and what functionality will you need? (for example, contact forms, online stores..etc). Perhaps I can guide you toward what you’ll need to make that dream a reality. :)
Looking forward to hearing more. :)

Hi!
Here are the steps you need to follow:
- Log in to your GoDaddy account and navigate to your domain management page.
- Find the DNS Management section and click the “Edit” button next to the Nameservers option.
- Change the nameservers to the ones provided by WordPress. The nameservers for WordPress are usually something like ns1.wordpress.com, ns2.wordpress.com, and ns3.wordpress.com. You should be able to find these nameservers in your WordPress account.
- Save the changes and wait for them to take effect. This usually takes up to 48 hours.
- Once the changes have taken effect, log in to your WordPress account and go to the “My Site” section.
- Click on the “Domains” option and then the “Add a domain” button.
- Enter your domain name and follow the prompts to complete the setup process.
That’s it! Your GoDaddy domain is now connected to your WordPress site. The changes may take some time to propagate fully, so don’t worry if it doesn’t work immediately.
