  Hi There

  I’m trying to connect my site to Google Analytics; I’m going to restart this business from scratch and will use Google analytics as pat of the SEO strategy so this is essential (please don’t judge the site up to now; total revamp is in the pipeline).

  Jetpack: Yes
  Correct account: Yes

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  I recommend you check out this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/google-site-kit

  Also, I can see your site is not hosted on WordPress.com and uses open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) and this forum is focused on sites hosted on WordPress.com.

  The WordPress.com and WordPress.org sites are completely different: https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org
