Connecting my Blog to Facebook

  How do I connect my blog to my facebook account so that when I publish a post it posts on my facebook page? I tried logging in, and it said to click allow. However, when I did log in, I could not click allow. The page kept being directed to my Dashboard page.

  Did you follow the instructions found here for using Publicize to connect to your Facebook Pages?

  If you would like to Publicize your posts to your Facebook page, instead of your Facebook profile, click on the “Set Options” link underneath Facebook on your Settings > Sharing page. You will need to connect your blog to Facebook first. You will need to use a Facebook account that has a Profile with administrative rights to the Page. http://en.support.wordpress.com/publicize/#facebook-pages

  I understand what you are saying, and I tried going to Settings, then Sharing page and i did connect it to my facebook. I logged in, but after I log in- it doesnt take me to the page that I have to click “allow” several times. It takes me right back to my dashboard. I don’t understand why.

  Facebook page or Facebook PROFILE? And were you logged into Facebook when you started the procedure? That might help.

  Yes, I was logged in- and my Facebook profile. On the sharing settings page, I clicked connect (and it did connect), but did not take me through the steps of clicking “allow” to connect wordpress to Facebook. I also clicked on “set options.” Then it says,
  “Publicize to my Facebook wall: My Name.” It is clicked on my name. There are no other pages I manage, so it will be posted to my profile.

  It sounds to me as if you were successful. Try publishing a quick post and seeing what happens; give it about a half an hour, as sometimes it takes awhile for FB to pick up the post.

  I did post about 40 min ago, even though i wasn’t sure if it would go through. Still hasn’t shown up on my facebook page, but we will see. Thanks for your help!
