Connecting my domain

  Do I have to pay to connect my domain? I purchased it with another provider and am trying to connect it, but when I click connect it just takes me to a screen to purchase a business plan for $300 annually.

  To use a domain you purchased elsewhere here at WordPress.com, you would need to upgrade to one of our paid plans. Each plan will allow you to use that domain for free using the domain connection option.

  However, if you’re being prompted to upgrade to the Business plan specifically, it sounds like you’re also trying to use features only available on the Business plan, which is why that plan is being suggested.

  The WordPress.com Business plan provides exclusive features such as the ability to install third-party plugins, integration with Google Analytics for detailed website analytics, and access to premium themes not available in other plan levels, so you may find that the Business plan you purchased is going to be the best option for your site.
