Connecting my Word Press Blog to Anchor to create Podcasts

Hiya, It seems we can convert our blogs into podcasts with Anchor, which is fab. But I am struggling to do this. With the tutorials online, i dont appear to be seeing the same section on the screen that says ‘Connect Your Blog to Anchor’. Can anyone help??

Can you confirm you’re following the instructions here?

NOTE: You must create a new Anchor account to link your WordPress.com account in Anchor and start creating podcasts from your existing posts. Existing Anchor accounts cannot be linked manually at this time.
If you’re still having this problem, please take a screenshot of the problem in question. If you’re not familiar with how to take a screenshot, this support document will help explain how to make one:
Then, use a service like Snipboard.io to upload the screenshot and then share the image link from that service here and we’ll take a closer look.

Hiya,
Yes I am but the web address anchor.fm/wordpressdotcom or wordpress.com doesn’t take me to the screen on the tutorial. It is a broken link and simply says to go to the dashboard ( i have a screen shot but there is no way to add it to this message), where I can create new episodes but cant covert my wordpress blogs.
Likewise, I have just created a new anchor account yesterday, so not sure I then need to create another one?

A screenshot can be shared via a link from https://snipboard.io/ into this thread.
You should be on https://anchor.fm/wordpressdotcom to create an Anchor account, it’s strange you’re not seeing a site there, as I can see it ok from my end.
If you’re able to provide a screenshot this will help to point to some clues as to what could be happening.

Hmm i dont know why thats not working, i am trying to print screen on a dell laptop using the print screen button but it wont work.
So, when i click on https://anchor.fm/wordpressdotcom it takes me to my anchor account i have created. Which is https://anchor.fm/ellie-cachia
But I cant see where i then convert my word press blogs into podcasts. Is it by a click of a button or do i need to read my blogs out to create listening podcasts?

This would be done inside of Anchor, not WordPress.com.
It sounds like the site may still not be connected to WordPress.com.
Are you able to log out of the Anchor account and then create a new account here: https://anchor.fm/wordpressdotcom following these steps:
If an account was already created with Anchor, it’s currently not possible to connect an existing account.
I’m hoping this helps.

I only created an anchor account the other day in order to convert my word press blogs so im sure its not that. But i have also attempted to make a brand new account using another email address and I am getting the below error message. In which I have refreshed and tried again but still no luck!

As that message indicates, the problem is on Anchor’s end. Visit that page and they can help sort this out for you – there’s a “message us” link on the right-hand side of that page you can use to reach out.
