Connecting new GA4 analytics
-
Hi!
I have regular google analytics connected currently and want to switch to google’s new analytics platform. I have followed all the instructions on my Google Analytics portal and set it up on that end. BUT, then when I go to my website to set it up JetPack is blocking my option to do so under the Google analytics part where I should put my tracking ID. I can’t uninstall JetPack because I am using it with my WooCommerce platform for members. Do you have a work around for this? I cannot figure it out for the life of me, and JetPack has not been helpful whatsoever. Thanks!

Hey there, these are the forums for free sites and services on WordPress.com:
https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/#overview-of-optionsCan you go ahead and post about this in the forums for Jetpack?
https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/jetpackWhen you do, just to make the request easier to follow:
– If possible, share the instructions you’re seeing in your console, minus any codes that are unique to your account/site– Please clarify what you mean by “blocking” — are you getting an error? Is the box greyed out?
– You mentioned removing Jetpack. To clarify, are you trying to change this setting in Jetpack? Or are you using another plugin with that specific feature, and hoping to turn off that feature in Jetpack?
If you want to turn off Site Verification tools for Jetpack, here’s what I found on their website:
Go to Jetpack → Settings → Traffic and click the toggle switch labeled “Verify site ownership with third-party services”.
Hoping that helps a bit!
