Connecting social media

I used to have significantly more followers on my blog because it linked to my social media pages. All of the pages are connected through META, and yet, I’m only able to successfully find and link one Instagram page and one Facebook page. I need to reconnect my other pages but I am not having much success.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi @urfavbrunette,

    I hope you’re doing well!

I understand you’d like to connect your other social media pages to your website.

Upon checking, I can see that you’ve successfully connected Jetpack Social to your Facebook and Instagram pages. Nice work! 🙂

About your other social media pages, can you please confirm if those pages are managed by the same Facebook account that’s currently connected to your website?

If yes, please note that you can only connect one Facebook page per Facebook account. However, you can connect multiple Facebook accounts, and then choose one Facebook page from each account.

Here’s a helpful guide you can review when you have a moment: https://wordpress.com/support/post-automatically-to-social-media/post-to-facebook/#connect-to-multiple-facebook-pages

Otherwise, if those pages are managed by different Facebook accounts, can you please try clicking the “Connect more” button in Jetpack Social? Let me know if you encounter any errors while trying to connect to your other accounts.

Looking forward to your reply so we can get this sorted out together!

Hi! I have one Facebook page connected, however I have three Instagram accounts connected to that main FB account. I would like to connect all of them to my jetpack.

    Hi there,

Thanks for clarifying that! Great question.

Unfortunately, this comes down to a limitation on Meta’s side rather than Jetpack Social. Each Instagram business account can only be linked to one Facebook Page, and Jetpack Social connects to Instagram through that Facebook Page relationship. This means that to connect all three Instagram accounts to Jetpack Social, each one would need to be linked to its own separate Facebook Page.

Here is how the setup would need to look:

    • Instagram Account 1 linked to Facebook Page A, then connected via Jetpack Social
    • Instagram Account 2 linked to Facebook Page B, then connected via Jetpack Social
    • Instagram Account 3 linked to Facebook Page C, then connected via Jetpack Social

If those Instagram accounts are already linked to separate Facebook Pages, you can connect them by going to Jetpack -> Social in your WP Admin and clicking Connect an account, then Connect more to add additional Instagram connections.

If all three Instagram accounts are currently tied to the same Facebook Page, you would need to update each one in your Instagram settings to link it to a distinct Facebook Page before Jetpack Social can pick them up separately.

You can find full guidance on connecting Instagram here: Post to your Instagram business account with Jetpack Social

Does that help clarify things? Let us know how your accounts are currently set up, and we are happy to help you work through the next steps!
