connecting to Bluehost

    I’m so confused! I recently started a new Bluehost account for my first website. I think I’ve mucked up something related to WordPress. Years and years ago I had two seldom used blogs on WordPress.com and that old account is still good and is now associated with my new domain. But I think there are some problems. The first problem is that I am too confused to figure out what is wrong. When I log into Bluehost, then I select the WordPress button, and things aren’t quite the same as if I log straight into WordPress. I think I may have two different WordPress accounts. How can I confirm this?

    To clear up any further confusion, there is WordPress.com and WordPress.org, and they are two different entities.

    We, WordPress.com, are a cloud-based platform where we manage WordPress sites, whereas WordPress.org is stand-alone software that you can download and self-host with any other hosting.

    If your site is hosted on Bluehost, it is a WordPress.org site, however, it is connected to your WordPress.com account via Jetpack.
