Connecting to individuals.

  I wish to direct posts to specific individuals by alerting them via email that they should look at the blog I post. For example, a daily accounting of a trip I am taking. I prefer that they not be obliged to use a password to access the blogs I post.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there,

  In this case you can add “Follow Blog”widget,

  Use below steps,
  1. Go to your website with logged in to WordPress.com and click on “Customize” at right bottom corner.
  2. Select “Widgets” option on left side panel
  3. Select ‘Sidebar’ or ‘Footer’ wherever you wish to put ‘Follow Blog’ option.
  4. Click on ‘Add a Widget’ button and then select “Follow Blog” widget from list.
  5. Customize widget by putting ‘title’ and ‘text to display’ options.

  Once above steps are done you can ask individuals to follow your blog to receive email notifications, or you can invite them to follow your blog from My Sites > People > put Email Address > Select Role as Follower
