Connecting to LinkedIn Group

Hi there, for some reason I can’t reconnect our WordPress blog account to our LinkedIn Group. It just keeps saying there is an issue connecting.

Publicize only allows you to connect and post to a personal LinkedIn account, not to groups or to company pages.
I assume you’re speaking of the broken “Energy Institute at Haas” connection, correct? I see that is a group on LinkedIn, but is it possible that was originally created as a profile? That’s the only way I can think of that you would have been able to connect to LinkedIn under that name.

Thank you. I even tried connecting an actual account but I’m not sure if that worked, for Severin Borenstein. It may have worked, but the group one still says ‘Reconnect’. It looks like we had his account and the group account linked at one point. So how were we able to connect the group at one point, so you are saying we can’t do this again? Has something changed? Severin’s account is the owner of the group. Thanks again!

The connection to the “Severin Borenstein” page is working, but the connection to the “Catherine Wolfram” page needs to be reconnected: https://wordpress.com/support/publicize/#reconnecting-services

Hi there, does this mean if Severin’s page is reconnected that his blog post will also automatically post to the LinkedIn group? Or does one have to manually post to LinkedIn groups? Thank you again.

Publicize does not operate with LinkedIn Groups, so if that is a LinkedIn Group, the content will need to be manually shared there.
