connecting wordpress to a different polldaddy account
-
One of my collegues managed to connect our wordpress account to the wrong polldaddy account. I have removed the connection in account settings, but when I try to connect the correct polldaddy account I am not able to. Is there any way to reset the connection between wordpress and polldaddy completely, so that I am able to connect the correct account?

Hi @kursbruker,
Can you provide me a little more information on what is going wrong for you? When you try to connect it, and it fails, are you getting an error message of any kind?
Have you taken a look at the Polldaddy integration support documents >https://en.support.wordpress.com/forms/polls/

Hi kursbruker,
Once you look through the support documents @annacmc has provided, and you are still unable to link your Polldaddy account to your site, your best bet is to approach the Polldaddy support staff directly:

Thanks!

Thanks for your replies @annacmc and @samva8c. I only use wordpress as a login to polldaddy. One of my colleagues had problems logging in and managed to connect our wordpress account to a new (empty) polldaddy account. I have removed this connection in account settings in our wordpress account, but when I try to connect wordpress and polldaddy I only get the option of connecting to this account again. There is no option for choosing a different account.

I’m sorry to hear you’re still having issues – did you check out the Polldaddy support link that @samva8c provided?
It’s difficult when dealing with direct integrations like this to understand if the problem is at the WordPress end, or the Polldaddy one, but I suspect in this instance you will find better information over on those support forums.
I would suggest removing everything and clearing at both sides – logging into both the WordPress interface as well as heading over to the Polldaddy one as well. Attempt to remove all accesses and start again, to see if it helps.
I had a quick look over at the support documents for this feature and see that you can remove access to Polldaddy from WordPress.com.
As per the Polldaddy support, you could try to remove access in the following way, if you haven’t already:
Remove Access to WordPress.com Account
You can remove access to your WordPress.com account by going to your WordPress.com settings.
Select Security > Connected Applications and then Disconnect next to Polldaddy.com to remove Polldaddy.com’s access to your WordPress.com account.Maybe that will shed some light on things and allow you to start fresh! Once all accounts are disconnected, the next time you return to Polldaddy.com and you use the WordPress.com connect button, you will be required to authorize a WordPress.com account again.
I hope this gives you a few new ideas on how to tackle the problem – but as I (and @samva8c) mentioned earlier, the best support for this issue is through the Polldaddy support team:
