Connecting WP blog with Dreamhost
-
I have purchased domain name with DreamHost example.com and connected it with my WP blog page example.wordpress.com (that I have just created). Later I have erased the blog example.wordpress.com (any way to get it back?) and created new blog 2ndexample.wordpress.com. I am trying to connect it with my example.com DreamHost domain but following message shows up (it goes this way for few days already):
Warning! Domain mapping upgrade for this domain not found. Please log in and go to the Domains Upgrades page of your blog to use this domain.
How can I connect my domain name (purchased at DreamHost) with my new WP blog?
Thank you.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I have flagged this thread for Staff attention Will you please provide the exact URLs involved here?

I’m sorry, but deleted blogs cannot be restored or reused. Deleting a blog is permanent and the name cannot be used again. There are several warnings about this on the Tools -> Delete Site page and in the help pages, and you are required to confirm the deletion by email.

You canceled and refunded your initial domain mapping subscription, so you’ll need to re-map the domain following this guide: http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/map-existing-domain/

macmanx, thank you for your respond.
I don’t want to use mapping as I want to use additional plugins, how can I avoid mapping in this case?
thank you

You’ll need to install WordPress from http://wordpress.org/ on your hosting provider.
Once that’s done, you can move your content following this guide: http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#moving-to-wordpress-org
To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities.
