Connection to other sites for comments and likes

Since yesterday evening, I can only view my dashboard. I cannot view my site, and am told that this site is not available. I should check my Proxy and Firewall. There is nothing wrong with my proxy and Firewall, so there must be something wrong with WordPress. I am also not able to view other sites, only in the reader, where I can make a comment or like, but no on the actual sites. I otherwise have no problem with my computer with online connections, and so I can only deduce this must be a WordPress problem. Please look into this, it is very frustrating.

I would add that although I can upload a written blog, I cannot see it on my own site, only in the reader. I also cannot crosspost my blogs to Facebook, and Facebook is working Ok
