Connection with LinkedIn not refreshing

    I’m trying to schedule a post for release @ 1AM Tuesday. Can’t get the LinkedIn connection to refresh. Anyone know what/where the problem might be?

  • Hi –

    With our scheduled posts, remember that they get published once there’s been a new view of the site on/after that scheduled time. If someone doesn’t come to your site until 3am, then that is when that post would get published. Does that make sense?

    Please confirm which site you’re working on so we can have a look at the connection in question.

    I was able to refresh the connection to LinkedIn on Monday and schedule my review at https://greatpenformances.wordpress.com/ for 1 a.m. Tuesday. It released at 01:01:21 a.m.

    The information that scheduled posts don’t go out when scheduled was news to me. If I had read that before I signed up for a WordPress.com site, I would probably have gone elsewhere. I can’t imagine trying to build a following if my readers couldn’t rely on scheduled delivery.

    Fortunately, for whatever reason, the trigger doesn’t seem to affect me. I, and most of my readers, get my book reviews by email. The publication time on my copies is typically about 1:01 or 1:02 a.m., although I did see one at 1:10 a.m.

    The post not being on your site until someone visits it shouldn’t affect anything since no one would know of the post until they were notified via their email/Reader or they actually visit the site. This would only be an issue if someone visits the site and the post still did appear. As soon as the first person visits the site, the post is there. Hopefully, that makes sense.
