Connectivity Issues on Some Business-plan Sites

This is just a heads-up to let you know that some WordPress.com sites with a Business Plan are having connectivity problems. Our engineers are actively investigating the issue and we’ll let you know once it’s been resolved.

Update – 20:39 UTC: One of our network partners is experiencing a failure and we are working with them as quickly as possible to resolve it. There is not an estimated time of resolution yet, but it is our highest priority.

Update – 21:50 UTC: The infrastructure partner which hosts a subset of the WordPress.com Business sites is experiencing a network outage beginning at 1420 EDT(1820 UTC). This is affecting connectivity to the entire data center where these sites are hosted. They’re working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible and once resolved we expect things to recover quickly. Unfortunately, there is currently no specific time for when the issue will be resolved. We will continue to post updates here as we have them.

Update: The problem was isolated to a fiber cut in San Antonio, Texas. The fiber repair was completed and everything was back online at 23:10 UTC. We’ll continue to validate that everything is working as expected and work with our partner to ensure remediation steps are taken to prevent this from happening again.
