Considering to move to WordPress due the need of a custom theme

    Hi,

    I have recently purchased a theme online that suits the best for my needs, however, I am not able to upload it due to the fact that a business plan is required while looking into the available options I noticed I need to move my domain to be able to even purchase this subscription.
    I am very new to WordPress so I am exploring if I should move to WordPress from Wix at all as at Wix, I can easily build my own theme while having the premium but also upload themes.
    I want to try to upload my theme, without the need of connecting my domain just yet but explore to see if it works the best for me with as little investment as possible.
    My concern is to connect my domain, and pay for the package while not being even sure on how to work with a platform that requires a lot of technical knowledge.

    Can you please help me with the best approach here?
