Consistent IO Error when uploading images

  I am constantly getting an IO Error when uploading images to my WordPress.com blog. I’ve tried large files, small files, one file at a time, multiple files, the flash uploaded and basic uploader and two different browsers but I get the IO Error whatever I try.

  Can someone please advice? Is there a known issue on the WordPress servers or is it something at my end?

  Either way it’s driving me insane! :-(
