I have two different accounts, tied with Gmail Suites… I need help in starting my website and would like to consolidate the two accounts. It is for the same business. I do not know how I ended up with two…..!? Is there a number I can call for support? Perhaps speak to a customer service agent?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi,

You can read about how to move site ownership to another account here:
    https://en.support.wordpress.com/transferring-a-site-to-another-wordpress-com-account/

To delete an account you can read about this process here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/account-deactivation/

There isn’t a phone number to call, but we’re happy to help you on this forum. Let us know if you need any further support.

    Hope this helps :)

    That did not work.

I have 2 wordpress accounts… for the same business… can I merge them and make them into one???

  • Hi,

I’ve added a modlook tag to this post. A Staff member will assist you shortly.

    Thanks

  • Hi there,

You have to decide which of the two accounts you wish to keep and then move the sites from the other account to the one you’re keeping.

    @catkiinson
already provided the instructions for this:

    https://en.support.wordpress.com/transferring-a-site-to-another-wordpress-com-account/

Also, can you please let me know the usernames for both your accounts so I can have a closer look?

Yes, I have made a mess! PLEASE HELP!

I bought two domains from you guys:
    integratravels.com
    integratravelgroup.com

I currently have 3 WordPress.com accounts, following are the usernames:
    1. @integratravelgroupllc
    2. @integratravels
    3. @diana4706966

Please note that on #2 (integratravels), I managed to link my Gsuites account with “integratravelgroup.com”). I would like to keep and have that on the account I am keeping, they are hosting my emails as of now.

I want to keep #1 (Integratravelgroupllc) as the ONLY WordPress.com account for my business.

I would like to have these two main email addresses on my account:
    1. (email visible only to moderators and staff)
    2. (email visible only to moderators and staff)

Also, link both of my domains (see above) to that one WordPress account.

Question too, would ou host my website? Do I need someone (else) to do it for me?

Also important for me, I would like to put my logo while I construct the website… can I do that on the main page where it appears “something awesome is coming”?

Thank you. Can you do some of this for me? Or is there anywhere I can call so you can walk me thru this? Hope to hear from you soon.

    Hi Diana,

I just want to confirm I’ve understood you correctly. It sounds like you wish to do the following:

    • Deactivate integratravels and diana4706966
    • Keep integratravelgroupllc as your only WordPress.com account
    • Manage and renew your upgrades (including 2 G Suite licenses) through integratravelgroupllc

Let me know if any of those details are incorrect. I can then look at your options, including your questions about the logo and hosting.

Sorry, I could just get back to you!

Yes… keep only integratravelgroupllc as my only WordPress.com account.

I don’t know if I have or if I am paying an upgrade with WordPress, yet I only have one G Suite License, it is a default email in Google ( (email visible only to moderators and staff) ) that manages both (email visible only to moderators and staff) & (email visible only to moderators and staff).

Can you help in putting my logo up ASAP as well? (before day is over?)

I am looking into someone hosting my account, or do you?

Hope to hear from you before the weekend.

    Thanks again,

    Diana

  • Hi! Consolidating accounts takes time. You’ll need to log into the correct account (the one you are transferring from) and work through this process. It’s a bit of work.

It sounds to me like maybe adding your emails and getting a site up and going with a logo on it is more important right now though, correct? And yes, you do need a web host to do that, but we can be your host, and if you have a plan you actually get direct support, which is faster than the forums.

    So here’s what I recommend:

    1) Log in as @integratravels first.

    2) From that account, go to https://wordpress.com/start/ to create a site. I would add a paid plan to the site, but do not register another domain yet.

    3) Once you have a plan, update us here to let us know whether you want your domain moved to this new site you’ve started. Again, for the moment it’s important that you log in as integratravels first to do this, because integratravels owns the domain, and the process of moving the domain to another account will take a bit longer.

    4) While support is taking care of the domain for you, you can be settings up the site: create a front page, upload a logo under My Site > Customize > Site Identity. You can look at different themes, work on content, etc. We have a getting started guide here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/start/ and more in depth information at https://learn.wordpress.com

    5) You can also add more email addresses to the domain if you’d like, while you’re logged into the correct account.

And then, once you’ve got every thing set up, you can work on transferring things to this user account if you’d like. You’ll have to be logged into that account for that anyway.

I hope all of this isn’t too much information at once! In fact, if you need to post in our forums, I’d actually recommend creating one topic for each separate type of issue. That way someone can help you with the easier stuff while you’re waiting for help with the trickier things. I hope this helps.
