Consolidating upgrades (WP Premium Domain)

  Hi, I just purchased WordPress Premium for my site. I currently have a separate domain upgrade ($33). Since Premium comes with a domain, would I be able to cancel the separate domain upgrade without losing my custom domain?

  The custom domain in question is nerdynel.me.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hello,

  As it states, you should be able to cancel your custom domain by going through to My Sites > Upgrades > My Upgrades, and clicking ‘Cancel’ next to the domain you’d like to remove.

  If it’s been more than two days since you bought the domain, you’ll have to contact support directly instead, which you can do here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/

  And no, that shouldn’t affect the domain that comes with your Premium plan. Hope that helps :)

  No problem, you’re welcome :)

  Here’s a quote from the domain cancellation post I linked you to above:

  After cancellation, there is no guarantee the domain will become available to register somewhere else and you may not be able to get it back.

  I’ll tag this for staff attention just in case, but as it states, getting back the exact domain you registered isn’t a sure thing.

  Hi there,

  I just linked your domain nerdynel.me to your Premium upgrade and refunded the separate domain upgrade purchase you made, so you’re all set with that. Now your domain will be automatically renewed when you renew your Premium upgrade. :)

  Just a quick note about canceling domains: You should never cancel a domain upgrade unless you’re sure you no longer want to use that domain. If you’d like help moving domains around (for example, linking a domain to your Premium upgrade) you can always contact us and we’ll help you make that change without canceling your ownership of the domain.
