Constant Contact

    I have my website set so that whenever I send an email through my organizations CC it automatically posts it to my “Latest News”. When I click on one of these posts it look like so: http://ifconews.org/2015/01/21/exciting-news-from-ifcopastors-for-peace/

    It looks terrible. It isn’t downloading the images or design of the original email. Is this something you can help with or is it an Organization Theme specific issue?

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi!

    I don’t believe this is an Organization or WordPress.com issue. This looks like an issue with how Constant Contact is sending the information. It’s all appearing in a table format. All of the information is coming across, but the formatting doesn’t quite match up. You could try to use custom CSS to tailor the table formatting to match your email template, but that would require some pretty involved CSS customizations. Instead, I would recommend copying and pasting the body of your email and posting it directly to WordPress.com!

    Hi,

    Eek! I don’t know anything about custom CSS. Can I ask my theme author to help me with it? I mean preferably I would like my CC email to go straight to my website and avoid the extra step of having to post it myself. Thoughts?

    Hi!

    It looks like you’re already in contact with the theme author here:

    http://premium-themes.forums.wordpress.com/topic/please-help-several-issues?replies=3

    The issue isn’t so much that the content is being stripped from the post when it’s forwarded from Constant Contact. It’s just that the styling for the table isn’t in place at WordPress.com. If you visit the Text Editor here:

    https://pastorsforpeace.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=544&action=edit

    You’ll see quite a bit of the following:

    <table width="595">
    <tr>
    <td rowspan="1" colspan="1">Having trouble viewing this email? <a href="http://campaign.r20.constantcontact.com/render?ca=41ac9fa5-b111-4376-a7dc-3b3c08f004ea&c=3eb480c0-6b75-11e4-a193-d4ae529a7ef1&ch=3eba2610-6b75-11e4-a193-d4ae529a7ef1">Click here </a></td>
    </tr>
    </table>

    <table width="100%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" border="0">
    <tr>
    <td align="center" valign="top">

    That is all HTML. On it’s own, it will display very plainly.

    I really think the best option would be to manually input the text. This will also prevent issues moving forward when you switch themes (that might require changing the CSS a bit). You could link to the actual newsletter at the the top of each post using something like this:

    Want to see the newsletter version? <a href="input link here">Click here!</a>
