  I don’t understand why I keep getting emails from WordPress saying ‘new user registration’. I’ve gotten a ton of them over the past year but I don’t know what they mean because I’m the only user and I’ve only logged in once or twice over the past year. Please advise, thank you

  Hi there!

  You’ve posted to the free support forums for websites hosted here at WordPress.com. Since you don’t appear to have any sites hosted here at WordPress.com, we’re limited in what we can help with and advise. But I can get you pointed in the right direction to get help.

  Check your website’s login page – YOURDOMAIN/wp-login.php (replace YOURDOMAIN with your website URL) – if you see a link to Register there, that’s where those sign-ups are coming from and can be found under Users -> All Users in your dashboard.

  To fix this, you need to disable the “anyone can register” option checked in your Settings -> General for “Membership” and save the changes.
