Constantly disappearing tags in edit

I have been trying out the “new” edit function and I am experiencing loss of tags between drafts. I try to tag as I go so I don’t miss something but when I go back in later to write more the tags are gone and I have to re-enter them only to lose them again . Am I expecting too much or is there a flaw?

I don’t think I’ve seen this particular issue reported yet on the New Editor, so I’m tagging this for staff to follow up. Please subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and be patient while waiting.

I haven’t been able to recreate this issue. Can you tell me exactly what you’re doing when this happens? Include any times that you save your post as a draft, preview your post, or schedule the post for the future.

It happened when with the very first set of tags on the new post, but not since then. We are talking 4-6 tags at most. I’ll be doing a new post and will see if it happens again, but it seems to be fixed or highly intermittent.

OK, that’s great news! If you could please let us know if it happens again (especially if you can reliably replicate it), we would appreciate it. We definitely want to create the best possible experience on this new editor as possible!
