Construction Website Login Admin-Member Help

  Hey Guys,

  So I have a friend who’s Mom works for the bank as a private vendor doing property preservation for foreclosed houses. I help them out basically cleaning out houses, moving garbage, winterizing etc., basically restoring it to neighborhood standards and improving quality for sale.

  So we’re looking to expand by creating a site that pulls in other potential private vendors to come and do the work for us as we get the work orders from the bank. So we get our work orders, put the work up for grabs, and the first vendor to grab it will complete the job and get paid.

  Now, the website is finished and the guy who was doing the back end work is being difficult to work with when it comes to the login feature. He uses wordpress and it’s laid out pretty sloppy. Basically the requirements for the login feature are this : we want to retain admin rights and have a member section where vendors log in to see the list of individual jobs that are up for grabs, a list of jobs they personally completed, and a list of personal jobs that are pending completion.

  The major feature is uploading pictures to the individual jobs to show work completion, and every job should have a feature where we can communicate back and forth on that specific job if a vendor is having some issues regarding the work required. Then there is the small stuff the jobs should have like due date, description, etc. Basically from this point it should be a “drill down” feature where you see a job, can click on it and have all the relevant information there. I went in as a member and as an admin thru the login portal to the already established website and it’s very difficult to see what is going on.

  Now my friend’s mom has heard thru her son that I have designed my own website and she’s requesting my help on it and basically I know cookie cutter designs but I can willingly learn how to go in and edit the features she wants in an organized, coherent and user friendly way. Because again, they are construction people not computer whizzes. Lol.

  Is there any feature on wordpress like plugins that make this thing easy? I only know so much with the platform WordPress and I am excited to learn more. Anything I can get my hands on will be pretty much a step forward. She really wants to depend on me because I can communicate effectively with her and although I have communicated effectively with the tech, he does not willingly make this easy for us.
