    Hello!

I am having trouble getting our website to update our email for our contact information. I have changed the email in ‘Account Settings’ however, when viewers send an email through the contact block on our website, emails are still sending to the old email.
    How do I fix this?

    WP.com: Yes
    Correct account: Yes

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hey there,

Happy to help you with this.

I have changed the email in ‘Account Settings’ however, when viewers send an email through the contact block on our website, emails are still sending to the old email.

It looks like the email address in the form itself needs updating, and this would change in the page itself via Pages > Contact > Edit.

I’ve created this screenshot to show how to change this.

Separately, I’ve taken a look at the website, and I think I can take this opportunity to offer some advice…(and forgive me if you’ve already thought of this! :) )

The website is currently on the free plan, and so this business style site will be subject to ads. In order to remove these ads, the site would need to be on a paid plan, at a minimum the personal plan. The personal plan also allows you to set a custom primary domain for the business, I’ve done a quick search and it looks like something on the lines of “parkplazadenistryspringfield.com” is available for use. A domain would be free for the first year of registration with the personal plan. And of course, if you have a domain, you can then create a custom email address further down the line.

A domain can also help with SEO and help those looking for your services to find your site and the dentistry.

I’m hoping that’s all useful information and I hope it all helps!
