contact for "creative" theme for issues

  I am professional artist, if I buy the Creative theme, am I able to contact the theme creator direct should issues arise? Can the background be black, to incorporate with my logo which is black as well? For me this will not be a blog site, so is this theme suitable? Or could you recommend better artist portfolio themes?
