  Hi, I’ve read lots of posts & this topic has been covered but i can’t for the life of me find an answer to my small prob – I’m a newbie so beware.. not too savvy with the WP environment yet

  I want to make a contact page

  I added a new page – wrote a little note – put in [contact form] in the html – published – presto! lovely, except the words [contact form] are visible

  turned off the comments – tried again – little note OK but no form – so I went back to the beginning & that works but [contact form] still showing

  perhaps I’m being picky – but I’d like it not to be there

  my question is – do I have to live with it or am I missing something really simple to fix it – thanks in advance for any help

  The shortcode should be [ contact-form ] (no spaces)
