contact form?

  • Unknown's avatar

I recently added a contact form to my blog http://www.chillacupressure.com and the emails are going to someone else (the guy who originally helped me publish the site). I did contact you about 3 weeks ago to resolve the issue and followed the instructions to switch over the account, but the problem still remains. Wondering what to do?

    Thanks

    Carson

    Hi Carson,

In order to do this, you will want to edit the contact form, as seen in our support guide here.

You will want to go into the page/post with the contact form and edit the short code:

    [contact-form]

    to something like this:

[contact-form to='(email visible only to moderators and staff)']

If you want one form to go to multiple people, try

[contact-form to='(email visible only to moderators and staff), (email visible only to moderators and staff)']

Let me know if you have any questions with this!

    Hi Grace,

This formatting language is a foreign langauge to me. When I was on my dashboard I just clicked on “add contact” icon and it inserted the following coding into my page:

    [contact-form][contact-field label='Name' type='name' required='1'/][contact-field label='Email' type='email' required='1'/][contact-field label='Website' type='url'/][contact-field label='Comment' type='textarea' required='1'/][/contact-form]

I did not change anything about this and do not know how.
I want this contact form to send emails to me Carson at (email visible only to moderators and staff)

so what would it look like like exactly to accomplish this?

Right now it still send emails to Tommy Allen, the old author of my blog site.

    Thanks so much.

    Grace

That is, I want emails to be sent to the email address found on the side bar of my blog site.

    Hi Carson,

Using the information that you provided, you can create a form by copying and pasting the information below into a post or a page. Note that you’ll need to replace the (youremailaddresshere) with your email address, but other than that it should be good to go!

    [contact-form to='(youremailaddresshere)'][contact-field label='Name' type='name' required='1'/][contact-field label='Email' type='email' required='1'/][contact-field label='Website' type='url'/][contact-field label='Comment' type='textarea' required='1'/][/contact-form]
