Contact form

I added a contact form to my page, but when I tried using it, the form just posted the contents as a comment on that page instead of emailing it to me. How do I get it to email the comments to me privately?

    Thank you!

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

To be clear you have not set up a contact form at all. You have created a static page and titled it Contact and then opened the comments on it. Please edit that page and follow these instructions to create a contact form by typing (do not copy and paste) the shortcode onto it, and then you will receive email from those who use the form. http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact-form/

Also note that you must log out in order to see what your readers will send once the contact form is published. WordPress.com uses cookies to keep track of commenters so if you do not sign out of WordPress.com and cleared your cookies, WordPress.com will recognize your and complete the details for you in the contact form. No one else will be able to view those details. The next person who comments will see blank fields. Commenters will not see each other’s details.

Thank you. It worked when I typed the shortcode. But that same link in the beginning said that you could just click on the icon above the editor instead of using shortcode. Why didn’t that work?

I just tried it in my test blog using the Connection theme and the clicking the form icon did work for me, so I’m not clear on why it did not work for you. It’s good to hear you resolved this by typing in the shortcode. :) Happy blogging!
