Contact form

Hi, we were using the wordpress contact form until we had reports of people using it but we never got an email.

The form code we used was

    [contact-form to=' (email visible only to moderators and staff) ' subject='Contact Wildlife & Eco Gardens'][contact-field label='Name' type='name' required='1' /][contact-field label='Email' type='email' required='1' /][contact-field label='Telephone number (optional):' type='text' /][contact-field label='Your Enquiry' type='textarea' required='1' /][/contact-form]

Do you have any known issues with this? Tried filling out the form myself 10 times with 0 emails being sent.

    Thanks :)

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi there,

I just tested your contact form and it submitted correctly for me. You can see my submission here:

    https://wildlifeandecogardens.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit.php?post_status=spam&post_type=feedback

In this case it went to spam, which does not generate an email. It went to spam because I did not add proper content to it, but a real submission should not go to spam and should send an email. If your tests contained similar content it’s likely they also went to spam and were then deleted.

I don’t see any other submissions in your dashboard. Have you deleted any?

Our logs show that emails are being sent, but Gmail has a tendency to hide them in other folders than the inbox. Please check the Social and Updates tabs, and also check the spam folder if they aren’t going there. If you drag the email from that folder to the inbox, Gmail should stop filtering it.
