  I was wondering the same about all those themes that had a contact form. I decided to not use any of those because I was suspicious that it might not work.

  I guess the form is there in case you host the WP theme on your own server given that within WordPress.com there is no option for the user to configure a mail server (be it WP’s or one’s own).

  So, don’t hold your breath on it! it won’t work.

  However, I’m a bit confused by your question since I do not see a contact form on that page when I take a closer look.

  Is it possible you created your site under a different login?  Is it the case that you are using another provider like GoDaddy, Bluehost, Hostgator, etc. instead? What is the URL of the site you are needing help with?

  The contact form is something you can add to your site so that you can accept email from visitors. Literally so they can “contact” you, though the form building tool is flexible enough that you can use it for questionnaires and other intake forms as well.
