  why does my name and email automatically appear in the contact form? Shouldn’t the spaces be blank so the person can leave their name & email?

  See here for the answer to your question https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/contact-form-error?replies=3 The spaces are blank for anyone not logged in to WordPress, for anyone logged in it will show their info, and not yours.
